SIGRITY ANNOUNCES
Accurate Co-Simulation Capablities for High-Speed
Design
SPEED2000’s Integration to Synopsys’ HSPICE Provides Advanced
Analysis of Electromagnetic Effects in IC Packages and PCBs
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 14, 2004 - Sigrity, Inc., a market leader in silicon-package-board design
analysis solutions, today announced a co-simulation solution to provide advanced analysis capabilities for
high-speed printed circuit board (PCB) and integrated circuit (IC) package design. Sigrity's SPEED2000 advanced
electrical analysis software tool now integrates with Synopsys' HSPICE(r) circuit simulator in a single
environment for comprehensive signal-integrity analysis of PCBs, packages and IC devices.
Utilizing HSPICE's foundry-certified device models and its advanced encryption technology,
board-level designers are now able to develop and deliver state-of-the-art systems with high accuracy.
"As a member of our in-Sync(r) program, the work between Sigrity and Synopsys has resulted
in tool integration which provides our mutual customers with improved design productivity," said Karen
Bartleson, director of interoperability at Synopsys. "Synopsys continually builds relationships which optimize
tool interoperability and maximize productivity for our customers and their design development."
"We are pleased to be working with Synopsys to deliver the best-in-class solution for
complex system designs," said Jiayuan Fang, Sigrity founder and president.
Availability
The SPEED2000 and HSPICE co-simulation solution is available in Beta today to select
partners with general availability expected by the end of March 2004. SPEED2000 supports Windows NT/2000/XP platforms.
HSPICE supports Windows NT/2000/XP, Linux, Solaris, HPUX, and AIX. SPEED2000 and HSPICE can run concurrently on
different platforms.
Speed2000
SPEED2000 (Simulation Package for Electrical Evaluation & Design) is a full-wave EM
simulation tool used for advanced analysis of power delivery systems and signal integrity in high-density IC packages
and high-speed PCBs. The capabilities of SPEED2000 allow for characterizing and optimizing the effectiveness of power
and ground planes and distributed decoupling capacitors; the avoidance of self-resonance in or between circuits, packages,
and boards; identifying and minimizing the effects of signal return path discontinuities and simultaneous switching noise;
and, predicting EM radiation from packages and boards.
